The great news to report is that Showbusiness with Blood is continuing to find enthusiastic readers everywhere.

We’d like to share this clip with you of when Newstalk radio host Pat Kenny surprised me by reading a brief excerpt from the book during an interview on The Pat Kenny Show. Pat does a brilliant job in capturing the excitement of the moment.

Also high on the excitement-meter at the minute is an enthusiastic summary of the book by BBC 2 presenter Matt Williams, who’s working his way through the long list for the annual William Hill Sports Book of the Year award. Matt you’ll know from his sports reports and genial upbeat style.

In further good news, expect an announcement soon from The Lilliput Press regarding a planned new edition of Showbusiness with Blood.

I’m delighted to share the news that Donald McRae, who generously contributed an endorsement for the book to Lilliput Press, has won the Mike Dickson Specialist Correspondent of the Year in the SJA British Sports Journalism Awards. Top rate.

The Celebration of Allen Ginsberg event hosted by author Pat Thomas and Peter Hale of the Ginsberg Estate at the New Theatre, which I took part in recently, was a marvellous success. We’ll take a closer look at that evening in the near future. But in the meantime here are a few photos courtesy of Al Craig.
